CALL FOR MANUSCRIPT/REVIEW SUBMISSIONS
FFL Scientific Journal of the Faculty of Foreign Languages announces the call for manuscript/review submissions for the 9th issue of the journal. Manuscripts/reviews must be submitted via email to the following address: [email protected] . The deadline for submission is 10.12.2024.
GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
FFL publishes only original works that contribute significant new knowledge to scientific research.
Manuscripts/reviews must be written in Albanian.
Submission implies that the work has not been previously published and is not under review elsewhere.
Accepted manuscripts/reviews may not be republished in the same form elsewhere without prior written permission from the FFL.
Submissions must be clear, comprehensible, and grammatically correct.
Authors are responsible for the scientific content and originality of their work. Cases of plagiarism (if identified) will be reported to the author and relevant authorities.
MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE
A manuscript must include the following elements:
Title: It should be concise and clear.
Authors’ Names: Full names, accompanied by the author’s affiliation and email address.
Keywords: 4-5 carefully selected words reflecting the subject of the work.
Abstract: A summary of the study and its conclusions, approximately 150-200 words, written in English.
Introduction: A brief description of the basis for the study, its objectives, reasons for undertaking the research, and its significance.
Materials and Methods: A detailed description of study materials and methods, sufficient to allow replication by others.
Results and Discussion: Clearly presented results, supported by tables, graphs (where necessary), and examples. Results must be analyzed statistically, and implications fully discussed.
Conclusions: Directly related to the findings. They should not be speculative or derived from general literature or spontaneous knowledge.
Bibliography: References should be listed alphabetically by the surname of the first author. A reasonable number of references (15-20) is required. If a source is cited as “in press,” it indicates that the work has been accepted for publication. Manuscripts not accepted for publication cannot be cited. References from the internet are not accepted unless they are online scientific publications.
The bibliography must be up-to-date and include recent works in the respective field of study.
MANUSCRIPT FORMATTING
The manuscript must be 7–14 computer-written pages (15,000–30,000 characters), including the title, abstract, text, bibliography, etc. It must be written in Microsoft® Office Word (version 2003 or any later version). The manuscript should include footnotes and endnotes, automatically inserted electronically. Page numbers must be placed in the bottom right corner of each page.

Abstract (in English, normal text, Times New Roman, 10 pt., presented in a single paragraph, no indentation, 150–200 words)

THE SCIENTIFIC EDITING PROCESS
FFL employs a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript will be evaluated by two scientific experts from the editorial board who will assess it based on academic standards.
Authors will receive feedback for necessary corrections (if any). The final decision regarding publication will be made by the editorial board based on reviewers’ evaluations.
GUIDELINES FOR REVIEWS
Reviews aim to encourage readers to reflect on various scholarly-scientific books by Albanian or foreign authors. To achieve this objective, reviews should include the following elements:
- Information about the content of the book being reviewed.
- Interpretative elements that assist in analyzing the arguments addressed in the book within the framework of the research field the study belongs to.
- Evaluative elements that provide an overall assessment of the reviewed work.
